Our large family found that there was something for everyone to enjoy at this relaxing mountain get-away. As soon as we walked in the door we knew we would have a wonderful time. Everything was very clean and we loved the many large windows in the house.
We roasted marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit while stargazing, and watched movies and sang with the guitar while gathered in the living room near the indoor fireplace. Our teens had a blast playing pool downstairs.
The adults relaxed while chatting in the hot tub, cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen, and rocking on the porch enjoying the view.
Our younger children had tons of fun on the play equipment, swinging in the “hammock swing” under the porch, playing games at the large dining table, and exploring the property outdoors. The weather couldn’t have been better during our stay!
We ventured down the mountain one day and had a delicious lunch at Chester’s in Blue Ridge, and picked up some fried pies at Mercier’s to bring back to the cabin. We preferred spending the majority of our time resting and rejuvenating at the Mountain Dream cabin.
Doug and Donna were wonderful to work with, even when we had to postpone our initial trip plans due to an unexpected emergency. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and there was plenty of extra bedding for cold nights. We would have liked to have more towels, but the washer and drier in the cabin made that easy enough to deal with. Our family would love to vacation in the mountains again, and everyone said they would love to return to Mountain Dream in the future.
