This is to keep costs lower for the majority of our bookings where the number of guests is six or less. This is reflected as $20-40 less per night in our posted rates for up to six guests. Even though the cabin sleeps a total of eight, we do not want smaller groups to have to pay as much as a group of 7 or 8 where there is additional utility usage and more wear and tear.

Our minimum age to rent is 25 years of age. We require a government issued photo ID for all bookings.
We accept payments by credit card through PayPal as well as personal checks. Checks are subject to clearance. If a reservation is being made within 21 days of the check-in date, payment will only be accepted through PayPal. Returned checks will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation.
50% deposit is due upon acceptance of your reservation along with a signed rental agreement. The balance is due 30 days before arrival.
Full payment is required for any reservation made within 30 days of your arrival date.
Reservation is only confirmed when we receive both 50% deposit AND signed rental agreement (e-signature during the booking procedure) with copy of government issued photo ID.

No, we do not provide wood for burning in the firepit, but we do recommend stopping at the local Walmart or Home Depot to pick up a bundle of firewood to burn for outside use. Remember to pick up a starter log and some charcoal for the park grill as well and check out some of these recipes for the firepit or grill! Easy Cabin meals
All wheel or 4-wheel drive is not necessary to climb the approximately 1/3 of a mile up the road to the cabin. The drive to the cabin is a gravel road and can, therefore be a bit bumpy. Some who may not be used to country/rural roads may feel a bit nervous, but rest assured it is safe and doable. The majority of our guests have front-wheel drive and have not had difficulty arriving at the cabin. One suggestion is to put the vehicle in 1st gear once you turn onto the last leg of the drive to give yourself more traction. Our driveway can easily park 3-4 vehicles, depending on the sizes of the vehicles.

Yes, firewood is provided between the colder months of October through March. The wood is located next to the front porch for you to use when the nights get chilly! If the stack gets low, just let us know via a text message so we can re-stock. Oh, and don't forget to buy some hot chocolate to enjoy while warming up by the fire.
Yes, in case the tank on the grill gets low or runs out of gas, we have a spare tank located in the closet of the Main Master bedroom. Please text us just to let us know so we can have the empty one filled for future guests.
Early Check-ins and/or late check-outs all depend on our booking schedule. You will need to inquire about the possibility of early check-ins and late check-out times within the week prior to your arrival. We will have to coordinate with our housekeeper’s schedule to see if she is able to prepare the cabin in time for your arrival. If there is a guest arriving/departing on the same day, no early check-in or late check-out will be possible. If no one is arriving or departing on your requested dates, we usually permit up to 2 extra hours as a courtesy, with prior written permission. Beyond that requires payment of an additional fee.
Please note: There is always the possibility that a last-minute reservation may come in for your early check-in or late check-out date. If that occurs, we will contact you and let you know that your early check-in or late check-out is no longer possible. This is rare but does happen occasionally, so please be aware of the possibility.
While we love animals, our pet policy is to keep our cabin pet-free especially for those who may have allergy sensitivities. We understand that most people have well-behaved fur babies, but in order to accommodate those who are allergic to pets, we want to maintain a pet-free policy. There are some really good local dog boarding facilities located within a half hour of the cabin. Evolutionary K-9 offers overnight and extended stay boarding for a minimal fee. After final payment is made, and approximately one week prior to arrival, we will email you access instructions and a unique code that will be good for the duration of your stay. If you don’t see the email with the subject header of “Dreamview Cabin Access Instructions”, please check your SPAM folder or let us know to re-send it to you.
We use an electronic keyless rental lock so you will be the only one that has your specific code. We have never had any issues with the lock, but if a malfunction should occur we do have a backup plan in place. Just call or text our number and we can give instructions at that time.
If a Guest cancels their reservation, any payment made will be refunded as follows:
CANCELLATION POLICY:
• 100% refund if cancelled 60 days or more days prior to the Check-in Date.
• No refunds within 60 days of arrival.
However,
➢ If we are able to rebook the same dates, the Guest will receive a refund for the amount the dates are rebooked for,
up to the amount initially paid.
➢ If we are unable to re-rent the cancelled dates, no refund can be issued. We highly encourage the Guest to
purchase traveler’s insurance for any unforeseen circumstances.
We understand that life happens and that unforeseen circumstances may arise that will impact your ability to keep your reservation. For this reason we highly recommend purchasing Trip/Travel Insurance. If you wish to purchase travel insurance there are numerous websites to do so.
Our kitchen is well stocked with cookware, bakeware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishware, pots, pans, skillets, grilling tools, crockpot, blender, 12 Cup Coffee Maker, muffin pans, cake pans, tea kettle, hand-mixer, a basic spice rack, wine glasses, drinking glasses, mugs, knives, bottle opener, can opener, and basically anything a typical kitchen is equipped with. Unless you have a specific and unusual requirement, you should not need to bring anything to cook with.
Yes, as a courtesy we offer a basic starter supply of toiletries such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, shampoos, conditioners and garbage bags. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional supplies. We also supply all linens, towels, washcloths, blankets and pillows.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget to pack these items so we want to make sure that we have these available for everyone should you need them.
Yes, travel insurance will protect you from those unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, injuries, and state of emergencies such as extreme weather conditions and mandatory evacuations. It should be purchased prior to your final payment and no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date. When you book through Dreamview Cabin's website, you will have the option to purchase trip insurance if you wish. Or, you may choose your own travel insurance company.
