experience blue ridge, georgia

Whether you plan to hike, boat, fish, zipline, shop, dine or just hang out at the cabin, our area has it all! Below you will find just a few of the varied activities to do with your family and friends. There is the very popular Ocoee River rafting company only 30 minutes from Dreamview. This activity is sure to get your heart racing as you navigate the rapids on the world renown Ocoee River! Or instead you could take your time tubing down the Toccoa river with your kiddos on a hot summer afternoon. Or take a hike on the Benton MacKaye trail located only one mile from our cabin. Whatever it is that tickles your fancy we’re sure you’ll find it in one of the categories below.

Try Some Georgia Made Wine

Georgia has the perfect climate for growing grapes. There are about 30 wineries located in North Georgia alone. Come and see what ones you like the best!

Enjoy Dining Out

There are many different places to dine in Blue Ridge. Like burgers? We’ve got you covered! Visit Fightingtown Tavern for some of the best burgers around! Like good ole’ comfort food? Visit Southern Charm for that good home style cooking. (Fried catfish, hush puppies and cole slaw with Southern sweet tea is my favorite!) Prefer gourmet cooking? Oh, yeah, we got that too! Treo, Black Sheep and Harvest on Main will take care of your cravings!

Shopping House of Threads

Shop in Downtown

Blue Ridge offers something for everyone when it comes to shopping. There are clothing boutiques, antiques, arts and crafts, décor, book stores, jewelry and even a husband daycare for the men to enjoy a beer while the ladies shop.

Get in Touch with Nature

Our area is perfect for the outdoorsy type! We have the Zipline Canopy Tours of Blue Ridge within minutes of the cabin as well as the popular Cowgirl Up  horseback riding stables. If you prefer you can take a whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River, just a 30 minute drive from Dreamview. We also have a trailhead to the famous Benton MacKaye Trail (BMT) just one mile from the cabin! In addition to these activities there are waterfalls, outdoor fruit picking at local orchards, and river tubing close by!

Here's a small sampling of places to dine.

The four of us ladies, in for a weekend, didn't even begin to take advantage of all the amenities available at the cabin! We enjoyed walking along the road back down the mountain to see Fightingtown Creek and blooming mountain laurel, hanging out on the deck with our colored pencils and watercolors, going to Blue Ridge for a fabulous meal and shopping, and hanging out back at the cabin to watch a movie.
Beautiful cabin in the woods!

There are tons of things to do close by for adults and kids. We recommend Lilly Pad Village and Expedition: Bigfoot! if you have children with you. If I decide to return to the Blue Ridge area, I'll definitely be staying at this cabin again! Thanks to the Boyer's for making our family vacation a memorable one!
Look no further, RENT THIS CABIN!
