We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dreamview Cabin! We were attending a wedding nearby and the cabin was the perfect cozy base camp for the extended family to gather between events. We appreciated the quiet seclusion, the beautiful leafy views from every window, the charming decor, and all the various porches and patios (from which we saw foxes and a bobcat!). The pool table was a nice addition and we played more than one game of Pac-Man (a fun blast from the past!). We weren’t able to avail ourselves of the hot tub or fire pit (too busy with wedding events) or playground (not our age group) but all of those things would definitely add to the fun of an extended stay here.
As others have mentioned, it is probably best to plan to arrive in the daylight–just so you won’t miss any turns. Once you’ve been there once, it’s not hard to navigate in the dark. We found the last quarter mile to be the steepest and the most bumpy–so just be aware. You don’t need 4-wheel drive (or even an SUV) to get there–one of our party was driving a Honda Civic and there were no issues…just drive a little slower on that last quarter mile…it’s totally worth it!
Donna and Doug were great hosts–and were able to accommodate our request for an earlier check-in which we so appreciated during a busy wedding weekend.
