I’ve stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years and this is one of the best! The cabin is beautiful, clean and cozy with lots of extras not found in the typical rental. Extras like additional blankets, spices in the kitchen, games inside AND out, but the most important ‘extra’ was the extra-special attention by the owners as we prepped for and settled in to our trip. The cabin is located in an area that is not so dense with other cabins, which was nice for the privacy. The views are amazing, with both long-range mountain views as well as some close ones to watch the hawks glide along the air pockets. The four of us ladies, in for a weekend, didn’t even begin to take advantage of all the amenities available at the cabin! We enjoyed walking along the road back down the mountain to see Fightingtown Creek and blooming mountain laurel, hanging out on the deck with our colored pencils and watercolors, going to Blue Ridge for a fabulous meal and shopping, and hanging out back at the cabin to watch a movie. I do recommend taking a vehicle with a higher-ground clearance as the gravel portions of the roads and the incline of the last 1/4 mile might be tricky for the typical sedan. Overall, this cabin and their owners are truly a delight and we can’t wait to go again!
