All-wheel or 4-wheel drive is not required to ascend the roughly one-third mile to the cabin. The approach is via a gravel road, which may be somewhat uneven. Those unaccustomed to country or rural roads might find it slightly daunting, but it is indeed safe and manageable. Most of our guests, who have front-wheel drive vehicles, have reached the cabin without any issues. A helpful tip is to shift your vehicle into first gear as you approach the final stretch for better traction. The driveway accommodates 3-4 vehicles comfortably, depending on their size.
