Visit Mercier Orchards on you next visit to Blue Ridge!

Be sure to put Mercier Orchards on your bucket list of things to do next time you stay at the cabin! It is Georgia’s largest orchard with over 300 acres and was founded in 1943 by Bill & Adele Mercier. A large variety of apples is not all you’ll find there. They also grow peaches, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. They offer several types of tours throughout the year one of which is their popular ‘U Pick Tour’ where you can pick your own fresh fruit. They even have a hard cider tour where you’ll get a presentation of how they grow, ferment and bottle their famous cider. They produce about 150,000 gallons a year! Now that’s a lot of cider!
